Oaklands Cultural Day 2015

March 23 2015, Oaklands first cultural day celebration. This was the day we celebrated who we were and where we came from. It was an opportunity to get to know more about the people in Room 8. We dressed up in clothing that represented our cultural background.

We then spent the day doing different activities related to different cultures within our classroom and school. We were also lucky to be visited by three mums from Japan who shared with us Japan's national dress - the Kimono and how to write our names in Japanese. We learnt so much.

Our day concluded with a cultural assembly that started with a drumming presentation all the way from Japan. It was incredible. We had such an exciting day!
